Biografia in inglese

Máté Haumann (born September 30, 1980, in Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian actor and writer, the son of the acclaimed Hungarian actor Péter Haumann (who passed away in 2022) and brother of actress Petra Haumann. He made his screen debut at age seven in Gaudiopolis (1987) and decided to pursue acting at fourteen after seeing Mission: Impossible in a Brighton cinema. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2002 before returning to Hungary, where he has performed at all the country's major theatres including the National Theatre, Radnóti, Örkény, Thália, and Soproni Petőfi Színház, in productions ranging from Romeo and Juliet (as Mercutio) and Chicago (as Billy Flynn) to The Miser (as Cléante, opposite his father as Harpagon). His most notable film credits include Oppenheimer (2023, as physicist Leo Szilard, for which he won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast), Colette (2018, as Count Muffat, alongside Keira Knightley), Hercules (2014), Monte Carlo (2011, with Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester), The Raven (2012), Eragon (2006), and Fateless (2005).
