2015년 6월 Channel 4와 AMC에서 방영을 시작한 SF물. 인간과 기계 사이의 경계가 무너지면서 인간의 감정과 사회구조에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 적나라하게 보여준다. 가까운 미래를 배경으로 인간과 거의 흡사한 최첨단 휴머노이드가 등장하기 시작하면서 로봇 3대 원칙에 의해 모든 휴머노이드들이 통제되는 사회. 로봇들은 현재 우리가 초장기 할부로 사용하는 핸드폰처럼 사회와 가정에 배포된다. 붕괴되어가는 가족이라는 테두리 안에 아름다운 여성형 로봇인 아니타(본명 미아)가 새로운 가족의 일원이 되는 이야기.
